We believe that music makes an important difference – it improves SAT scores, reading and math skills, social skills and self-discipline. Music enhances higher brain function, develops quick and decisive thinking and builds teamwork. These valuable skills stay with us throughout life. Because of that commitment, we are pleased to bring you KYMO.
Our programs protect youth from homelessness and imprisonment while helping them achieve their educational, music, and employment goals. By working to build self-reliance and independence, we keep youth off the street and help them develop into responsible members of the community.
We provide safe shelter, educational & employment support, life skills training, counseling, crisis intervention, and specialized services for pregnant and parenting youth.
Our holistic approach allows youth to grow in all areas as they gain the skills necessary for long-term success. The arts influence culture and attract individuals from all backgrounds. Creativity and interactive art also allow individuals to express themselves, break down stereotypes, attract diversity, and build trust.

KYMO NO BULLYING
WHAT IS BULLYING? Bullying is aggressive mental and physical behavior that's done intentionally, the aggressor’s way of showing his/her power behavior that is often repeated over and over again. The research-based KYMO NO BULLYING program teaches youth to recognize, refuse, and report bullying, be assertive, and build friendships.
KYMO NO BULLYING lessons can help youth feel safe and supported by the adults around them, so they can build stronger bonds in their community and focus on academic achievement. Our program supports schools also, with school wide policies and training. Now everyone can work together to build a safe environment free from bullying.
Be alert to signs of youth who may be in distress.
Encourage any young person who is bullied to tell a teacher, counselor, or parent.
Provide confidential help-consult with a school counselor or other mental health professional if you feel uncertain about how best to support a student.
Support training.
It might be hard to tell the difference between playful teasing and bullying. Teasing usually involves two or more friends who act together in a way that seems fun to all the people involved.
Bullying is peer abuse that should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
